Hello! Essay writing is not as scary as it may seem. The biggest challenge is getting some topic thoughts out and organizing those thoughts in a logical fashion. First off, I would suggest you "brain storm" and write down all thoughts you have regarding your essay topic. Once you have let out all of your creative ideas, on the topic of choice, go through and seek which ideas about your topic are related and relevant. An example of a brain storm for an essay on gardening might look like:
-Gardening tools
-Soil preparation
-Plant varieties
-Growing season
-Weeding
-Watering
-Raised bed gardening versus row gardening
-Starter plants versus from seed
Obviously, there is a format to follow for a paragraphs within an essay and the essay as a whole. It is very easy to find information on composition formatting. However, it is another issue entirely to address "writer's block" and get something out on the paper to work with. Hope that helps.
